When wallpaper first made an appearance again and became mainstream most of us believed that would be a trend lasting no more than a season or two. Here we are several years down the line and it just feels like wallpaper in modern bedrooms is only growing as a decorating trend. In fact, it is getting to the point of becoming a staple. If you have not tried it yet, start with an accent wall or small section you wish to highlight before going big. Wallpapers can either add accent hue or blend into the color palette of the room, depending on the look you wish to pull off.
In the tiny apartment with limited square footage, the loft bedroom is the obvious choice and the unrivalled king! It takes away the worry of having to create an additional room in an already limited area and you will not need any other internal partitions inside the apartment for rooms other than the bathroom. It is often the space above the tiny bathroom that can double as the bedroom alcove. It might not be super-glamorous or even spacious, but it gets the job done. You can get creative with the staircase leading to this loft bedroom and turn it into a storage area. Talk about maximizing space!
Bunk beds are not just for kids’ bedrooms alone as this smart alcove proves! Part of a smart modern townhouse designed by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, this alcove bunk bed design makes most of the small and forgotten corner. This leaves the rest of the room open and gives the homeowner an opportunity to create an inviting and relaxing setting.
