As textile design becomes more and more adventurous, it can still be surprisingly difficult to find a stylish table runner. The big brands may release only a handful of patterns, and if you`re not a fan of them, your search continues. Even when offering a range of colors, retailers sometimes still manage to leave the season`s hottest hues out of the fun. This fall, colors such as teal, wine and deep grey are all the rage, yet some of these shades are (very) slowly finding their way to the table. We`ve searched high and low to bring you the table runner finds below. From basic solids to trendy patterns (and even a few DIY favorites), get ready to plan your next tablescape.
Cathedral-style ceilings, wooden roofs with herringbone pattern and exposed ceiling beams help create a beautiful Mediterranean dining room that is even more enduring. The ceiling plays an important part in Mediterranean spaces and leaving it white only takes away from the grandeur of the spaces. A cozy fireplace (or even faux fireplace) in the corner, some lovely wall murals and a pinch of golden glint put the final touches on a dreamy dining room.
It is amazing how two seemingly different hues can come together to create a lovely and exciting dining room. The combination of red and gold might sound a touch too outlandish for some. But these exquisite spaces are full of regal and timeless charm with styles that range from Victorian and traditional to transitional and modern. Red brings brightness to the room while gold fills it with unrivalled opulence. It is a duo can create dining space fit for royalty and replicating this look in your formal dining room definitely gives you the same culinary experience!
Yellow in its many hues is a color that looks great in every Mediterranean dining room. Yellow brings warmth and sunshine of Mediterranean weather to the modern dining room and does so with unassuming ease. It can also be used in moderation in rooms in white or gray as an accent hue to highlight the special features of the room. Linking the dining area with the kitchen and living space visually also becomes easier as you can just repeat pops of yellow throughout.
Pick a singular element or feature that binds the different elements of your gallery wall together. It could be the color of the picture frames, their shape, size or just the general style. But being clear about this one common feature makes it a whole lot easier while thinking about what needs to go up on the gallery wall. Consider the style of the dining room and the existing colors in the space before you make these choices. Slim white or black picture frames look good in modern, contemporary and transitional dining areas while wooden and metallic frames make more impact in traditional, rustic, farmhouse and industrial dining spaces.
